Vision
- We believe that God wants to be glorified by a growing, cohesive group of business and professional people being equipped as effective ambassadors for Christ in the marketplace.
- We believe that God wants these men and women to blend Biblical principles into their careers (Colossians 1:28-29; 1 Thessalonians 5:14; James 1:22). We also believe that He wants them to establish and encourage other disciples to develop a lifestyle of serving (Mark 10:45).
- We believe that God wants growing disciples who will verbalize and live out their faith while serving in the marketplace. When they show His Light through their lives, it will glorify our Father in Heaven (Colossians 4:5; Matthew 5:16; Titus 2:6-12).
- The application of scriptural principles results in a lifestyle that is obedient to God, faithful to God’s Word as the standard for their career as well as personal life, dependent upon Christ through prayer, Christ-like in love and concern for people, and a light for others to come to know Jesus Christ.
Mission
The mission of BLE is to teach and provide training to Christian business professionals in how to discover and apply Scriptural principles to their occupations and personal lives. Simultaneously, we encourage accountability as it applies to God’s principles as servants in the marketplace.
Doctrine
- We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, that He is both true God and true man.
- We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
- We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
- We believe in “that blessed hope,” the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
- We believe that all who receive, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
